This is a photograph taken during a picnic at East Bay. The participants are from the ranks of the State Hospital. Anna (Thoreson) Newman is the person in the back row, third from left. Her husband, George R. Newman, is seated in front of her. Anna was a 1910 graduate of the TCSH Training School for Nurses. George was long employed there as an attendant supervisor. In the front row is Julia Thoreson, third from right. Julia was a 1911 graduate of the school. She is holding Georgia Newman, sister Anna's daughter.l
