Description

Pictures of the Interlochen State Park showing the logging wheels, beach, campgrounds and buildings. Most are from the Duck Lake side of the park which was developed first. As it was the first state park in Michigan it was called "Michigan State Park". Later as other parks were added it became "Interlochen state Park". Early postcards show the first name. #24 on are from the Green Lake side of the park. It was the first to see camping as it was called "The White City" during the summer due to the many white canvas tents lining the bluff. (see #33)
