Description
Interior of the Traverse City State Hospital kitchen. Three men are working at baking what appears to be small, hand-sized loaves of bread. One man has a long beard, another a mustache, and the third is clean-shaven. A large belt driving an unknown machine appears at the top-middle of the image, wrapped around a large pulley, and extends into the background, where the belt wraps around a smaller pulley. Image is undated, likely ca. 1900. Image is a copy made from the original glass plate negative, number 2016.14.174
