Description

This photograph was identified as being taken during the Cherry Festival, family on Front Street watching the parade, Traverse City c.1920. However, there was no Cherry Festival in 1920. Also, the clothing the subjects are wearing suggests a date in a cooler month than July. Image shows three people, one man and two women, standing on a sidewalk in downtown Traverse City. All three are facing the camera, and the two women are eating ice cream cones. Their clothing is fashionable for the 1920s; one woman is wearing a hat, and one has a hair band encircling her head.
