healthful climate and a productive soil.
In our Flora, then, we have a means of greatly hastening the settlement of thi? country, if we rightly study
it and discriminate a knowledge of its characteristics,
as it is well known whoever comes b6re to select for biipself a home. Wishes to bo satisfied, among other thingB
that we do have a productive soil, and one capable of
yielding a varied product Hence we shall see him observing Our thrifty maples pod elms; their straight
